Description:

Provide program support for the Honors Program at Southern Utah University including administrative support; student programming; and recruitment and retention efforts. Responsible for the organization and communication necessary for the success of the honors program and honor societies at SUU.

Duties and Responsibilities 1. Responsible for all professional communication coming from the honors program and honor societies. 2. Assist with data collection and reports for the honors program and honor societies. 3. Answer questions regarding the honors program and honor societies. 4. Update the SUU’s Dean’s List. 5. Attend and provide support at honors program functions (will include some evenings and weekends).

Qualifications:

Education, Training, and Skills 1. Must be enrolled in an SUU Graduate program. 2. Ability to use a variety of computer software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, all Adobe applications, and database management programs. 3. Excellent customer service and communication skills. 4. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. 5. Knowledge of professional and organizational communication, higher education, student affairs, business management, graphic design, and/or program planning/evaluation preferred.

Experience 1. At least 3 years of experience working in a professional office. 2. At least 3 years of working with the public. 3. Experience with an institution of higher education preferred.
